Born in Moscow in 1927.
In 1944-1946 attended the Moscow Institute of Decorative and Applied Art.
From 1946 to 1954 served a labour camp sentence on charges of 'anti-Soviet propaganda'.
In 1958 joined the Moscow branch of the Artists Union (MOSKh) and first exhibited his works.
Did paintings, graphic works and book illustrations.
Died in Moscow in 1998.
