Born in Yekaterinoslav in 1889.

From 1907 to 1912 studied under I.S. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov at the Penza Art School.

Organised the Smolensk Society of Artists (1917-1918).

Contributed his works to the '13' group exhibitions.

Died in Moscow in 1942.
