Born in Moscow in 1938 into the family of the graphic artists Andrei Pavlovich Livanov and Alexandra Felixovna Bill.

1955 – 1961 – attended the All-Union Cinematography Institute (VGIK), majoring in arts.

1963 – joined the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists (MOSKh).

1983 – began to teach at the Moscow Institute of Graphic Arts and Publishing.

Livanov has been exhibiting his works since the early 1960s.
